Privacy Policy
Last updated: 2026-05-20
ScreenHole does not collect, store, or transmit any personal information. There are no servers — the app makes no network calls at runtime.
Camera
ScreenHole accesses your camera to display your face in the on-screen overlay and, if you choose, include it in screen recordings. The camera feed is processed entirely on your Mac. It is never transmitted off your device.
Microphone
ScreenHole accesses your microphone to capture audio for screen recordings and to drive the audio-reactive pulse on the overlay. Audio is processed entirely on your Mac. It is never transmitted off your device.
Screen Recording
ScreenHole accesses your screen, application windows, or selected areas to record them. Recordings exist only in the location you choose at save time. They are never transmitted off your Mac.
Saved Recordings
Files written by ScreenHole live wherever you choose to save them. The app does not upload, copy, or share these files with any third party.
On-device Intelligence
The background blur, auto-frame, and close-up features use machine-learning models (Google's MediaPipe) that ship inside the app bundle. They run entirely on your Mac. No data is sent to Google, Apple, or any other party.
Analytics, Telemetry, Crash Reports
ScreenHole collects none of these. The app does not include any analytics SDKs, telemetry pipelines, or crash-reporting services.
Accounts
ScreenHole does not require any user account or sign-in. There is no user identifier of any kind.
Children
ScreenHole does not collect personal information from anyone, including children.
Changes to This Policy
If a future version of ScreenHole begins collecting any data, this policy will be updated before that version is released, and you will be informed at first launch.
